VALENCIA- A 46-year old resident of Barangay Anas this town was arrested by elements of the local police station for possession of illegal drugs.
Local policemen led by P/Sr. Insp. Marcos Lopez conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in which the subject, Raul Balite y Nangkil, married, was caught illegally possessing illegal drugs in violation of Sectioon 11 and12 Art. II of RA 9165. However, Balite was able to evade arrest.
The operation was by virtue of search warrant by Judge Dionisio Calibo Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 50 Loay town.
Prior to the arrival of the operating team, Balite has already fled away. The raiding team then pursued the search and invited two barangay officials, Teogenes Macaranas and Gloria Nangkil of Barangay Anas to witness the search of the Balite’s house.
Recovered from the premises were two pieces of medium heat sealed plastic transparent cellophane sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, one piece small heat sealed plastic transparent cellophane sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, 24 pieces of open plastic transparent cellophane sachet in different sizes, 13 pieces of rolled aluminum tin foil as tooter, seven pieces of disposable lighters, seven pieces of improvised funnel, eight pieces Crumpled aluminum tin foil, two pieces of improvised bamboo sealer, and two pieces of improvised gas lamp.
However, during the said search one Cita Gamba y Darosa, 44 years old , married, Filipino, resident of thesaid place, was arrested after she was inside the premises of the subject’s house and found having in her possession and control the following items, two pieces of small heat sealed plastic transparent cellophane sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, two pieces of open plastic transparent cellophane sachet containing white crystalline residue, and one handbag, color yellow and black.
The subject of the search warrant, Balite is stillat large while the arrested person, Cita Gamba was brought to Valencia police station for proper documentation and disposition, as well as all recovered items were likewise brought and deposited at same for evidentiary purposes.
